Beyond Bristol by WILD DEER EVENTS returns for its 3rd Edition on Saturday 17 April 2027, and it's shaping up to be bigger, bolder and better.
Beyond Bristol takes you off the beaten track, beyond the tarmac and onto a running adventure like nothing you've experienced before.
Starting and finishing in the heart of the city, the routes take you along riverside trails, through woodland and green spaces, over old railway lines and past some of Bristol's most iconic landmarks.
Whether you're looking for a fresh challenge, stepping up to a longer distance or simply want to spend a day exploring somewhere new, Beyond Bristol is your chance to experience the city from a completely different perspective.
Run, jog or walk. Take it at your own pace and discover what's Beyond Bristol.
The Beyond Bristol 55km Trail Run starts at The Amphitheatre in the heart of the city, before heading alongside the River Avon and through Bristol's city centre.
From here, the route joins the Frome Valley Way, an urban riverside trail that quickly takes you away from the busy streets.
Leaving the river behind, you'll pass through Eastville Park before joining the Bristol and Bath Railway Path, where you'll cover more than 10km of the old railway line.
The route then joins the River Avon Trail, following the riverside before looping back under the railway and heading towards the western edge of the city.
And then comes one of the highlights of the route.
You'll enjoy spectacular views as you make your way beneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge, before climbing through Leigh Woods Nature Reserve and eventually crossing the bridge into Clifton.
From Clifton, the route turns back towards the city centre, bringing you full circle before finishing back at The Amphitheatre.

The Beyond Bristol 25km Trail Run gives you the chance to experience the city's trails and green spaces over a more accessible distance.
Starting in the heart of Bristol, you'll quickly leave the tarmac behind and head onto the city's network of riverside paths, trails and green spaces.
Along the way, you'll experience some of the landscapes that make Beyond Bristol so unique, while enjoying a completely different perspective of the city.
The route combines Bristol's urban trails with its quieter green spaces, giving you the perfect introduction to the Beyond series.

Both distances will use a staggered start, with runners setting off in small groups.
Beyond Bristol starts and finishes at The Amphitheatre, right in the heart of Bristol city centre.
There is plenty of public parking nearby, with several car parks within walking distance of the start.
Public transport is the easiest way to get to Beyond Bristol, with Bristol's main transport links providing easy access to the city centre.
If you're driving, please allow plenty of time to park and walk to the start before your race.
Please check your journey before race day and allow extra time on the morning.
