DERWENT RESERVOIR 5KM, 5 MILE & 10 MILE RUNS – 2027

We are excited to be returning for the 9th year of these popular runs. Due to increasing numbers, we have changed the date to May to allow for more on site car parking.

Choose between a 5km, 5 mile or 10 mile route around this beautiful yet challenging North East location. The 10 miler does a full lap of the Reservoir on CLOSED ROADS & firm trails. The 5km, and 5 miler are all on firm trails.

Derwent Reservoir

This stunning reservoir, owned by Northumbrian Water, sits right on the border of County Durham and Northumberland. The mixed terrain routes showcase the very best of this scenic area.

Cani-cross

• 5km & 5 Mile – Canicross friendly (one controlled dog per runner).
• 10 Mile – Not suitable due to extended sections on roads.

Start Times

• 10 Mile – 9:30am
• 5 Mile – 9:45am
• 5Km - 9.45am 

Please note that times are subject to slight changes.

Cut Off

Due to road closures, there is a 2.5-hour cut off for the 10 Mile event.

Timing

Live chip-timing will be provided by Timing Up North.

The Finish

All finishers will receive:

An event T-Shirt can be purchased for £12.50 when you sign up.

Parking

There is a parking charge on site and all vehicles must purchase a parking pass for £3. We recommend car sharing where possible. 

We will confirm parking payment arrangements nearer the event.
