THORESBY PARK LONGHORN TRAIL – 18th April 2026 

We are excited to be returning to Thoresby Park on Saturday 18th April 2026 with the Longhorn Trail Event!

Set in over 1,000 acres of beautiful parkland, the estate features a stunning 17th-century mansion, a world-renowned art collection, and plenty of wildlife including wild deer and the famous long-horned cattle.

This event is ideal for runners of all fitness levels, with routes ranging from 5km to half marathon.

PARKING LOCATION:

You will be parking in the Event Field at Thoresby, not the main car park. 

The entrance to the Event Field is from the main road.

Event Distances

• Family 2km - suitable for ages 5+ (NO CANI-CROSS)
• 5km – suitable for ages 11+
• 10km – suitable for ages 15+
• Half Marathon – suitable for ages 17+

The estate is fairly flat, making the 5km and 10km routes ideal for first-time trail runners or those stepping up from Parkrun.

Canicross

• This event is Cani-cross friendly (except 2km)
• Runners may run with up to 2 controlled dogs
• Separate start time for Cani-cross participants

Nordic Walkers

• Nordic Walkers are welcome to join any of the trail distances.
