BEYOND GLASGOW 2027

Wild Deer Events bring you BEYOND GLASGOW – a fully supported running adventure starting and finishing on Glasgow Green, taking you beyond the city and into some of the most scenic landscapes surrounding Glasgow.

Choose your distance, from a 55km Ultra – a big day out for those ready to go the extra mile, to a 25km Trail Run – a scenic and sociable route that’s great for all levels.

Routes

Both routes start and finish on Glasgow Green, giving runners a unique opportunity to begin their adventure in the heart of Glasgow before heading beyond the city and into the surrounding countryside.

The 55km route takes runners on a journey beyond Glasgow, combining riverside paths, woodland, trails and open countryside. The route explores the landscapes surrounding the city before eventually bringing runners back towards Glasgow and the finish on Glasgow Green.

The 25km route offers a shorter version of the Beyond Glasgow experience, taking runners away from the city and onto scenic trails and countryside before returning to Glasgow Green for the finish.

Both routes will be fully signed and supported, with friendly marshals and feed stations along the way – so all you need to do is focus on the experience.

Start Times

There will be a staggered start for all runners.

The 55km waves will be at 5-minute intervals from 8am to 8.30am.

The 25km waves will be at 5-minute intervals from 10am to 10.30am.

Feed Stations

There will be 3 well-stocked feed stations on the 55km and 1 well-stocked feed station on the 25km.

The exact locations and mile markers will be confirmed closer to the event.

Compulsory Kit

We would expect runners to have the following with them:

• Running backpack or vest

• Water/fluids

• Charged mobile phone with emergency contacts saved (ICE)

• Some food/gels

• Lightweight jacket

• Race Director's contact number saved

Cut Off

There will be a cut-off for the event to ensure the safety of all runners and our event team.

Further details of the cut-off times will be confirmed closer to the event.

Timing

Live chip-timing will be provided by Timing Up North.

The Finish

All finishers will receive:
