Positives:
*Great mix of grass and trails.
*Directional signage markers good and marshals great.
*Lots of water at the stops and good placement of them.
*Nice goodies at the end, buff or socks a drink and a snack.
Would be lovely to see wild deer advertised on the socks tho instead of another brand.
Negatives:
*Confusing mile marker signs, couldn’t work out if they were counting down or up or were for the other distances

A well organised event with a cheeky route through the woods after 12 miles, caught a few people out on tired legs. Volunteers were amazing offering support all the way round the course. Just need to be wary of visitors walking the paths maybe some signage to say an event in progress but overall an enjoyable experience.

I found this race was superbly organized, when I saw the map I thought the course looked quite messy but in reality it flowed very smoothly. The course was tough but a good test, I would recommend this race and would probably do it again.
However I would suggest possibly having a second race in the colder months October/ November or even March. Overall this was an amazing event just a bit hot and sticky add in the Hills and it's easy to think did it once don't need to come back next year but in cooler weather I'd love another crack at it.

Ran with dog - she loved it too! Friendly runners and marshals, good clear signage and pleasant woodland trail bits. Good facilities, easy to park, lots to amuse non-running friends too. Will def run again in future.

Really enjoyed the run. It was exactly what was needed in preparing for an ultra trail run in a few months. Tough hilly course but well organised and the marshalls were fantastic with encouragement. Nice and chilled atmosphere before and after. Parking easy and great correspondence via email before with all the links to parking, results and pictures. Would highly recommend.

Please do not take this as a negative. I feel the event could have attracted more runners. A lot of people i had spioken to in the run up to this werent aware of this event.. The advertising of this seemed very low key, especially on Social Media, however, i hope this becomes a regular fixture in the Falkirk racing calendar. Well done to everyone involved in making this happen.

Loved the route although it was rather hilly - but challenging is always good! Well organised with good signage and great Marshalls/helpers. Great merchandise - thank you. Just one small thing. Couldn’t hear the briefing .

Lovely event with a great atmosphere and an enjoyable route. A few more volunteers around the course would have been helpful, particularly for support and marshalling. It’s also disappointing that the timing results still haven’t been published. Hopefully they’ll be available soon.

A winter one please…
Also, I was a little disappointed that after entering a 10k trail run, all the signage on course was in miles! Why?! I was doing maths to work out the distances. If I entered a 10k run, why was the distance markers not in kilometres???

This was my first time Trail running and I first Wild Deer event. It was well organised, the marshals were really helpful, and pre-race were happy to give me tips on the course, the hills and pacing myself. Will definitely do another Wild Deer event in the future :)

Fantastic event, well organised, but Jesus the first 2 miles were about as tough as I have ever experienced. Course meanders through the park, please split that climb up next year!

Jordan great on the mic setting the runners away, marshalls and organisers great. Route well marked such a beautiful place and right next to the kelpies plenty of places to visit after.

Brilliant day out thank you. Organisers did a brilliant job. Stunning scenery and a good wee lung buster. Definitely be back next year loved
