I have had a great day and really enjoyed the event today.

My only feedback is the water stations needed more bodies. The volunteers did their best but I ran past a couple as there was no drink poured and didn’t want to wait.

But I will be back next year if it’s on. I enjoyed it

Easy to register and plenty of free parking

Lovely scenic route along the coast (shame about the lampost flags mind, but that's on the council of course!), which was mostly flat and so great for people chasing a personal best or for beginners.

There were only a couple of things I'd say could be improved. Firstly it would be better if the registration happened nearer the start than the end, though I appreciate that was perhaps owing to the building works. The second was with the water. I appreciate there was a shortage of people to man the stations, but they could do with having pre-filled cups or individual bottles for people to take. Also, one of the marshalls at the end told me I could have a second bottle as there were 90 runners and 90 bottles left (quite how she knew the number exactly I'm not sure!) but thankfully one of her colleagues allowed me to have another owing to the heat. More water at the end too would be great. However for a first event here it was fab and will definitely be signing up to next year's!

The only improvement is there was not enough water stations esp for a summer event - every 4k would be ideal or more

An extra water station wouldn't go amiss. The many turnarounds weren't overly great but pretty good for a first time here. Will do it again for sure. Thank you.

Overall a good race. The start was congested and not well organised, with the drinks stations needing water bottles rather than cups being filled and scarcely available. Also, it’s stated the stations would have VOOM Hydration but I didn’t see any!

Brilliantly well organised by Wild Deer who made the most of creating a course of any kind , with challenging restrictions imposed on them , by an unscrupulous Hartlepool Borough Council.

Could have done with a couple more water stations but overall it was really well organised, beginner friendly course, will definitely do it again!

1. The water stations need to be a bit more prepared. The second one in particular wasn't keeping up with demand at all so I had to skip it.
2. Narrow, congested and twisty first mile. As runners do, plenty of slower runners towards the front, so it made progress difficult. Something to get people to put themselves in a better start position would help. The early out and back spur along the sea wall was particularly congested in both directions, it would have been better to send the round straight down the prom first and then find a way to add some distance elsewhere?

Good route, The lack of water stations in the heat took its toll that’s the only negative.
