Well done to Wild Deer Events on a great inaugural Hartlepool Half. I’d definitely do it again.

Love the route however my only bit of feedback would be the water stations. It was quite a hot day and I just found it wasn’t a lot of water being provided and didn’t want to take more than one cup incase they ran out for runners behind.

Well organised. Great scenery and good for beginners or the experienced.

Beautiful views along the coast if you could organise for the weather next year to be a little cooler that would be great ha ha

It was a bit warm today but just felt the water stations where over run and had to wait for it to be poured out. But overall I did enjoy my day thank you.

Water stations could have been better prepared. Waiting for cups to be filled rather than a table full so easy to collect and carry on.

Very good half marathon, it was my first ever one and I enjoyed it. Only thing I might say is more sign posts might be needed next time to direct people to the start, bib collection and the finish line. All the volunteers were lovely, giving support on each station. Overall very welcoming, very encouraging and a very good event! Thank you!

Maybe another few water stations would have been good given the heat.

Well organised parking no issue and times through very quickly. Water stations - needed to hand out bottles - filling cups caused runners to stop.

Marshall’s were great, adequate amount of toilets, numbers sorted and found really quickly. Only suggestion was better water system as you were hanging around but due to the heat I think a lot more were at the water station than usual and a lot of runners at a similar time so difficult for the volunteers. Perhaps more spread out next time.

Start - needed some barriers up, everyone everywhere, including spectators in amongst the runners.
Out and back at the start - needed barriers/higher cones/tape as still a lot of runners bunched up early in the race

Overall it was a really good day and organised well!

I do feel more water stations would be a good idea, especially during the summer months when it was warm.

Despite the convoluted nature of the course, it just about worked. Hopefully the route can be improved upon but that shouldn't detract from a great event, well done Wild Deer and all volunteers

Was hot today, very little in the way of elevation but it’s all in one place. Challenging. The car park wiggly bit was quite fun I think. I do think that last dog leg out and back before the finish should be somewhere else in the race. Mentally… when you’re that close to the finish, it was very hard! Especially as there was a bit of a headwind! These medals are better than my geordieman one! Love a metal medal. Lots of spots for supporters to get along the course and move around to see people and cheer. I loved it. Wild deer have done it again
