Set within the private grounds of the Lambton Estate, this unique trail running event gives you the opportunity to explore an incredible estate that is usually closed to the public. Expect beautiful woodland trails, open parkland, historic surroundings and stunning countryside views — with the chance of spotting the estate’s famous Wild Deer along the way!

A scenic mixed-terrain trail run combining woodland trails, open fields and estate tracks. A great option for intermediate runners or anyone looking for a shorter trail running challenge.
Take on a scenic and moderately undulating 10-mile trail running route through the Lambton Estate, featuring woodland trails, open fields, grassy tracks and private estate roads.
Looking for a bigger challenge? The 15-mile trail run combines the 10-mile route with the 5-mile loop, giving experienced trail runners the chance to explore even more of the stunning Lambton Estate.

Expect a mixture of woodland tracks, grassy fields, firm paths and private estate roads, creating a varied and enjoyable trail running experience.
Dogs are welcome at the Lambton Estate Summer Trail Runs, making this a canicross-friendly trail running event.
One well-controlled dog per runner is permitted.
Dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
Please ensure your dog is comfortable running the chosen distance and around other runners.
The Lambton Estate is one of County Durham’s most impressive private estates, offering runners the rare opportunity to explore trails and landscapes that are not normally open to the public.
