SCONE PALACE TRAIL RUNS – 2027

We are excited to be returning to the stunning Scone Palace in Perth in April 2027 for our popular Sprint and Standard Duathlons!

Set within the historic grounds of Scone Palace, this scenic Perth duathlon combines trail running through the palace estate with cycling on the beautiful open country roads of Perthshire.

Whether you're taking on your first duathlon or you're an experienced multisport athlete looking for your next challenge, the Scone Palace Duathlon offers a fantastic race experience in one of Scotland's most iconic locations.

Event Distances

The Scone Palace Duathlon is suitable for all abilities, with both Sprint and Standard distances available.

Sprint / Short Duathlon

Run – 5km | Cycle – 19km | Run – 2.5km

Perfect for first-time duathletes or anyone looking for a shorter multisport challenge.

Standard Duathlon

Run – 10km | Cycle – 38km | Run – 5km

A longer challenge for experienced duathletes or those looking to step up their distance.

Route Maps

The run sections take place on firm trail paths within the Scone Palace estate, while the cycle routes head out onto scenic country roads through the surrounding Perthshire countryside.

The combination of trail running, road cycling and stunning scenery makes this a unique duathlon in Perthshire.

Transition Area

• Secure transition area for competitors only
• Race Number & Bike Number correspond to your racking spot
• Small bags/boxes permitted inside transition
• Bike number must be attached and helmet visible before entering
• Bib and bike numbers will be checked before exiting transition

Start Times

• Sprint Duathlon – 9:30am
• Standard Duathlon – 9:40am

Timing

Live Chip Timing will be provided by Timing Up North.

The Finish

All finishers receive:

• Event Medal
