Get ready for a brand-new Wild Deer trail running adventure at Souter Lighthouse, South Tyneside.
Set along the spectacular coastline surrounding Souter Lighthouse and The Leas, this unique trail running event will take you across dramatic coastal paths, open grassland and stunning clifftop trails, with incredible views across the North East coastline.
Whether you're new to trail running or looking for a scenic summer challenge, this is your chance to run WILD by the sea!
5km Trail Run - 7pm
10km Trail Run - 7pm
The perfect introduction to trail running! This shorter route is ideal for beginners, first-time trail runners and anyone looking for a fun summer evening run along the stunning South Tyneside coastline.
A scenic coastal trail run taking in clifftop paths, open grassland and the beautiful landscapes around Souter Lighthouse. A great choice for those looking for a little more distance.

The event takes place around Souter Lighthouse and The Leas, one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in the North East.

Expect a mixture of coastal paths, grassy trails, clifftop tracks and firm paths, creating a varied and scenic trail running experience.
Please note that coastal routes can be exposed and conditions underfoot may vary depending on weather.
Dogs are welcome at the Souter Lighthouse Summer Trail Run, making this a canicross-friendly trail running event.
One well-controlled dog per runner is permitted.
Dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
Please ensure your dog is comfortable running the chosen distance and around other runners.

There is limited car parking at Souter Lighthouse. We recommend car sharing or walking to the event if you are local.
Parking at Souter Lighthouse will require payment if you are not a National Trust member.
