Exceptionally friendly fun race. Very wet and muddy
Superb race. Well marked, well organised. Exceptionally friendly and encouraging Marshalls and helpers at the start and finish. A good course, not too many bottle necks. Great colour of finishers t shirt. Loved the atmosphere. Good coffee shop for hot drinks afterwards.

Great day, marshals and volunteers were amazing
As a first time half marathon runner I was pacing myself, however found the 10k runners behind were going at a faster pace, this made it a little tricky moving in and out so they could pass (not wanting to slow them down) perhaps these runners could have started first?

Brilliant fun, muddy and very rewarding
I've done the Culzean 5k last year and 10k this year, both events were some of the most fun races that I've done. Very different from a standard road race.
I would highly recommend investing in a pair of good trail shoes; they really do make all the difference running in the mud and on trails.
The event is really well organised and lots of marshals and supporters, plenty of parking and the views are unbelievable in any weather.
Maybe not the race is you want a PB given the hills and mud, but definitely wins "Best Scenery" in my book!
What a fun thing to have done.

Welcoming event, really interesting course in a great venue.
Prior to the event, Wild Deer were great at transferring my entry when daughter couldn’t make the 5k.
Second time here- Culzean is really not too far from Glasgow (1hr).
Bit more wetness this year so trail sections of the course muddy fun, but still really runable.
Wild Deer have picked a great route through Culzean Estate away from the main paths, and the variety breaks up the route really well.
Volunteers and team really friendly and encouraging, and nice relaxed feel to the event.
I ran 1/2 option, but 5k and 10k options available as well.
Culzean cafe nice pre- and post- race options.

Beautiful scenery and great run
Alan Courtney
I love this race.
As an NTS member I do object to paying £6 for parking. However it is an excellent venue and race, albeit a tough one.
Keith Wilson
A tough run in soggy conditions
Not the easiest run but worth doing if you fancy trying off road for the first time
Gavin Kelly
Well worth a visit to the event!
Nicola McBeath
Well organised, inclusive event on brilliant trails
As first female it would have been nice to have a marshal or organiser at the end to announce the first male and female and congratulate them as it is a big achievement. I understand that these events are not about winning but as an ordinary working mum that runs, it is a massive achievement. It would of been nice for it to have been recognised by someone at the end.

Great 5k route, scenic, well marked, our first canicross event and was brilliant!
Lynne Domigan

Great 10km. Great scenery and staff.
Jacqueline Campbell
Stunning views
Kirk Connor
Lovely setting with great course albeit a lot of very muddy sections which I found great fun but might not be for beginners. Staff and Volunteers were all very friendly and route was really well marked and marshalled.
Christopher Butterworth
Really well organised and well ran (no pun intended)
Third time I've attended this event and it's always a friendly atmosphere and really well organised. Culzean is a great venue and really enjoyed despite lots of rain and mud.
Stuart Black
Challenging but rewarding route. Scenery needs your attention!
Another brilliant run at Culzean Castle with Wild Deer Events. The weather may not always shine but these events do! Thank you for all your efforts.
Stephen Anderson
