I'd somehow missed the 5k turn and ended up finishing the 10k. It was a beautiful route, so pleased I'd missed the turn, but feeling the legs now.

The delay at the start was very cold

Only issue was with t shirt size.

My first trail race & first Wild Deer event- beautiful surroundings, such friendly people & marshals etc - everyone made me feel welcome- runners included- I absolutely loved it & will definitely do others

Something happened at the finish line. We were all queing passed the timer strips. Which was unfortunate for finishers coming in. Great event though, will see you next year!

Very well organised as usual , such a big event and everything seemed to go off great . Thanks for another brilliant day.

When we arrived the main car park wasn’t allowing any more cars in - which we knew might be the case but there weren’t many staff members around to advise where to go instead.
Ran with the canicross group which was good to start separate to the other runners. Other canicross events have rules that “canicross friendly” kit should be used - there was a few dogs running with slip leads which is not safe. Could this be something to consider for future dog safety?
Otherwise a really lovely event and great scenery and socks and snacks at the end. Thank you everyone involved.

Only negative, some of the canicross runners didn’t have dogs on a short leash and dogs were quartering in front of them. I had to ask one lady to pull hers in as I nearly tripped over it twice.

The path became very narrow, being canine, as thr path became so narrow people walked the elevation, running g past or waiting to run with a dog became on peoples heels
It was good, it just had a narrow path, maybe more than one bin for all the dog do do to be swaying and carried!

Great day of running.
Course was very scenic and a pleasure to run.
Marshals were very encouraging and gave clear directions.
After race nutrition was spot on also.
Great value for money and WILL do again!!

Well organised, super location with good parking and facilities

This was my first trail run I was very anxious but need not have been. Every person at the event was polite helpful and supportive. Runners who had finished cheering us on giving encouragement

Love the goodies at the end. Not many events offer all of this.

It was very congested for the first few kms, several places we were forced to walk by the number of runners. I started at the back and came in 165 so perhaps I should have placed myself closer to the start line. It would have been nice to have a steady run, have you considered staggered start by anticipated finish time?
