Great Swim in a great place.
Super organisation, great comms before hand too.
Loved the location, the facillities and the goodies after. The swim price was very competitive too! I need to do more Wild Deer events.

Fantastic event! Absolutely loved it
We did the team relay - so much fun! The course was brilliant, and particularly the run route - a lot of triathlons have really boring run routes but this one was beautiful and nice to not do millions of short laps! The marshals were fab, and the lady on the mic (not sure of her name but she had an American accent) was brilliant - she was especially helpful and a great MC. The hoody and medal were fab, and we thought it was great value for money. Absolutely loved it - thank you

Beautiful scenery, fantastic organisation - one of the best events around
It's such a brilliant event! The organisers are amazingly friendly and welcoming. Transition is set up well and near the car park. Registration is on race day (so no need to travel the day before). The swim, bike and run courses are all stunningly beautiful: undulating and not easy, but the whole race is relaxed and perfect for first timers. It's a really enjoyable day out. Can't recommend this enough.

Why aye Man - lovely race
Lovely friendly race, with no officious BTA bolux!
Water quality for the Sw1m is nice, in a decent sized lake: There's little chance of Blue Green Algae here!
Bike is fab, out into rural Northumberland in Castle County.
Some hills and drags, so not to be underestimated, but vey doable.
Run is half tarmac, and half crunchy tame gravel trail, round the lake, out to the beach, back to the other lake, then thru the woods.
Onsite camping is so easy, just roll out of your tent and straight into transition.
Recommended, and excellent VFM.

Amazing atmosphere and event
One of the hidden gems for full distance triathlon. Better value than other events and truly wonderful volunteers who stayed right until the end!
Andy Bagot
Great course and organisation.
Relaxed but efficient transition area. Shaun gave us all an impromptu briefing the night before as we were checking things out. Very friendly staff and marshals. A good venue for first timers. Cheers Andy.

Friendly, well-organised event in beautiful surroundings
Marshalls deserve a special mention: there were lots of them, they were friendly, helpful, encouraging and made a huge difference to me keeping up my spirits on the run. Post-race food: vegan pizza was pleasant surprise and also delicious. Sports massage was great. Great to have so many on-site toilets and even a shower in the building. Only slight concern for me was a rank smell about half way through the swim. Am hoping it was just weeds and not something else!

Brilliant local, good value, beginner friendly event in beautiful countryside
Thank you to all the marshals and volunteers!

Great for my first ever triathlon. Never done any brick training… just showed up and had a go.
Would be better with a few better food and drink vendors. My girlfriend said she’d have liked to have been able to get a cold drink either soft drinks or an alcoholic one as there was no one selling any. And the cafe was rather expensive.

Fabulous event and really friendly atmosphere
Excellent organisation, everything was 1st class. Also a big thank you to the organisers for arranging coffee and pizza, both were delicious. The way the run is set out is great for supporters and for competitors. We needed to get something from the car for our runner and this was easy to arrange due to the run course lay out and nearby parking.

Loved it!
May see you again next year we enjoyed it that much :)

Spectacular
The most wonderful people, all the staff & volunteers are incredibly friendly and will help you in every way they can. The courses are fantastic and relatively fast, safe and perfectly exciting. The aid stations were well distributed and stocked. The race HQ has many different stalls and lots of spectator-friendly space. The prizes for podium winners are lovely and functional. It could've done with more portaloos & toilet roll, but that's pretty much the only downside. Getting a beautiful hoodie and meal voucher are great prizes.

First and only Full so glad it was the Geordieman I picked. Last out of the water and the encouragement was amazing. Marshals were amazing particularly the guys at the feed station at finish line and on the loop of the run. Wey Aye Man
Went on the Friday to try the lake and the guy there setting up was brilliant everyone who supported the event incredible. Achieved all my goals and the scenery and routes were amazing. Proud to be a Geordieman!

Exceeded expectations
Savoury sandwiches at Feed stations would be a bonus :)
Volunteers and support were exceptional

Great local event
This was a great event and the second time I’ve done the half. There’s a great range of races. It’s well organised and great crowd.

Fantastic event!
Loved how low key the event was - not crowded and one of 1000s. Loved that the transition area was “quiet” I.e., not constantly pumping out loud music!
Loved how friendly the staff / volunteers were.
Love the hoodies! Will wear with pride!
The only thing that could have been improved would have been being able to hear the briefing from the back of the crowd, perhaps a mic or horn for the announcer?
Thank you. I had a really nice day and as a nervous cyclist found so much of the ride enjoyable.
Kevin Perreau
Absolutely fantastic event, stunning scenery, well sign posted and organisers have done such a great job.

Amazing day!
GEORDIEMAN 70.3 2026 was my first experience of a triathlon and I couldn’t have asked for a better event!
