Negatives: The race was over distance. It measured nearer 6.5 miles. The start was a bit too far back and we were on the grass slope unnecessarily just before the start. It was therefore hard to position yourself in the right place for your pace. I couldn't hear the start announcement. Get someone to check doors of the portaloos as this prevents unnecessary queues. All these can be easily fixed. :)
Positives: The race felt well organised, communication was good. The little race village was great and the start being near the car park on such a cold day was good. Plenty of toilets. The course was great, plenty of interest and great views of Harewood House. Great to see the pigs on route. Mixed terrain, a little too much tarmac but I ran on the grass at the side where possible.
Overall a great race and I hope to return again next time.
Can we have a summer edition please! :)

I should have done this last Jan, and couldn’t make the Sept date. All credit to office for allowing me to transfer.
My only criticism was using What 3 Words for registration on email. Google maps then took me all around the estate roads so took me 20minutes as a non local to find my way to main entrance and carpark.
Maybe set longer event people off first so we don’t return to an empty field?
But loved the event - we were so lucky with the weather!

It was certainly better having the cani cross starting separate to other runners. Less stressful for everyone plus it worked as there was a nice flow of runners on the course. I hope this stays like this for all future events.

Well organised event with a fun atmosphere. Beautiful route - nothing too technical but enough hills to be hard work. Loved it

Loved the event, beautiful scenery, good terrain (even though it was extremely hilly but I knew what I was signing up to), friendly marshals, enough water stations.

I can imagine the dilemma of whether to go ahead or cancel the event given the conditions. I feel it was a good call to go ahead. The weather conditions were fine for running. I didn’t incur any issues.
