Fantastic Event, great mix of trail and tarmac
Really enjoyed the event and superbly organised, my only suggestion would be to add some more course markers as at times it was a little confusing.

Really lovely scenic run
This was such an enjoyable run. Lovely scenery, lovely marshals, well organised and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend and will probably run it again.
An absolutely beautiful route, which wasn't too taxing for the 1st 20 miles...
There wasn't enough savoury options at the feedstations considering the price. Need more calories and less sugar to get through 55km!
Still a great event and well signposted.

Brilliant
Was my first Ultra.
Great event, good signs and support.

Perfect for a beginner
I’ve never run further than 10 miles and only on roads at a very leisurely pace so I wasn’t very confident that i could complete the 25k trail run, but, the lovely atmosphere, the gorgeous scenery and the mostly flat, comfortable surfaces got me to the finish line and I still had enough in the tank for a fantastic night out in Newcastle!

Well organised, interesting route
A lovely trail, not too hilly with varied terrain. Aid stations perfectly stocked with all you could need and clean loos!
Penny Ransom
Friendly, laid back no pressure trail race.
Excellent 'buffet' table
Helen Johnston
Loved it! Our first ultra and a good choice.
We got lost when a marker led us away from the main path through some trees and into fields. Not sure if someone had moved it…. Anyway we managed to get back on track pretty quickly.
There were no small t shirts that I’d ordered but the lovely lady at the end said she’d post me one out.
We had a fantastic time.
Thanks to all the staff & volunteers for their help and encouragement!

Excellent trail event for beginners!
Such an excellently organized trail event! I highly recommend BeyondTrails Newcastle, especially if you're a beginner. The route is incredibly clear and well-signed—I didn’t even need to look at the GPX file because there were signs practically everywhere. The elevation is very beginner-friendly, and the feed stations are fully stocked with gels, bars, electrolytes, and water. Plus, there’s a friendly marshal at almost every corner. The whole atmosphere was just so exciting. Loved it!

Perfect intro to the ultra scene!
This was my first ultra & it was great. Well marked, beautiful scenery, & the volunteers were amazing regardless of your pace - they were just so happy for you! The elevated section was difficult personally but a gorgeous section to walk through still! Aid stations were well stocked.
James Humberstone
Forgiving Ultra - excellent event
Dylan Ramsay
First ever event run and it was fantastic will definitely be back.
Lee Bartrip
Awesome so friendly great experience
My first ever ultra. Looking forward to my next.
Great event. Thanks to the marshalls
Gill Mackay
Well organised, loads of signs so didn’t need to navigate, plenty of snacks at fuelling station and friendly Marshall’s.
Good starter for trails as not many hills
Don’t really need trail shoes though as loads of tarmac or good tracks
Great medal
Absolutely loved it
This was my 3rd time doing the 25km event, the 2nd time since it changed course, and I love it. I would definitely recommend everyone give it a go. It's a beautiful run

Excellent Beginner Ultra
Really accessible race and great to see another inclusive atmosphere! Really well organised and well planned route getting the most out of the trails in Newcastle!
Liam Allport
Nice simple coarse for beginners and trail vets
No need to download a watch route. The coarse is well marshaled and signed. Always enjoy the wild deer events
Gavin Francis
Top course! Not often you get an organised trail run in a city
Carol Mason
Beautiful scenic run
More arrows would have been better in the Derwent country park, or maybe markings on the road, we got lost a few times and ended up doing 58k.
Amazing route and fantastic volunteers. Thank you so much

Hills after 20 miles heart breaking!
