A brilliantly organised event with fantastic marshals, great atmosphere and excellent finisher goodies!
A fantastic event from start to finish! The Hadrian’s Wall Half Marathon was extremely well organised, with excellent signage throughout the course and plenty of marshals at key points.
A special mention has to go to the marshals, who were incredibly friendly, supportive and encouraging throughout. Their enthusiasm really made a difference and helped create such a positive atmosphere.
The finisher’s medal looks fantastic, and the T-shirt is a great quality keepsake from the day.
Overall, a brilliant experience and a thoroughly enjoyable half marathon. A huge thank you to the organisers, volunteers and marshals for all their hard work in making the event such a success.
I’d definitely recommend this event to other runners and would happily take part again!

Today was my 4th Hadrian's Wall. What a superb event in a wonderful place. I really loved today. The organisation was great. What a World Class day out. 10 out of 10 ! Also, a really good idea to let the fastest runners go first and the walkers yesterda
yesterday. It avoided congestion on the narrow bits of the course. And, I beasted last year's time by nearly 14 minutes!

Best day ever
Such a good organisation every time I’ve done an event it’s always been wild deer there so organised and everyone is so lovely, always open to everyone couldn’t recommend them enough

Great scenery, amazing route which suits all levels.
Your helpers are amazing, full of enthusiasm and encouragement.
Having the walkers on a separate day was so much better for all.

A brilliant route!
Another fantastic event from Wild Deer! The events are always so well done with the friendliest marshalls and in the most beautiful places. The initial climb was challenging, as was the uneven ground until 12km, but it was great to have this more technical first half followed by a downhill/ flat second half on flatter terrain. The sense of accomplishment at the end of this event was brilliant!

Beautiful scenery, challenging first few miles, well marshalled, friendly and low key.
It’s a great event, in a beautiful setting,
hard for the first few miles but then settles down into undulating moorland, woodland and a little bit of tarmac. Staggered start works well to avoid queues on narrow paths. Plenty of friendly marshals. Well organised and feels low key. I’d definitely recommend it!
Caroline Brown
A great half marathon in stunning location.

Thanks Wild Deer, a fantastic event.
I loved the base layer shirt too. I've done a few Wild Deer events now and I can say they are fantastically organised and very good value for money! Thankyou.

Stunning landscapes, supportive running
This race was stunning. Buses from Hexham were straightforward, and the wave starts were well organised. Route is great - pretty tough first 2 miles, then you’ve earned quite a decent amount of flat and downhills. Well marshalled. Three water stations with voom bars available. Great atmosphere at the park at the end. Mile markers were significantly off, though. We loved it and will be returning!

Really enjoyed it. Well organised and loved the route.
My first hm - thought it was great from start to end.
Christopher Roy-Toole
excellent first introduction to trail half marathons.
My only criticism was that the pre race briefing for wave 8 (09.45) started and was almost over before I became aware of it. I had not been told to assemble where the briefing was taking place. So that needs firming up in future. But it didn't make any real impact on the day, which I enjoyed and thought the organisation was very good.

Friendly atmosphere with great views across the hills
